Our Story

From humble beginnings in 1970, EBT has grown into a successful mid-size firm in the heart of southern Alberta.
It was rebranded in 1998 to EBT, named after its founding principals: Curtis Ensminger, Todd Beck, and Dan Thompson.

Over the past fifty years, the firm has seen steady growth as a result of our desire to provide premium client service.

As a trusted member of your financial team, we take great pride in offering a premium client experience.

Nested in the heart of downtown Medicine Hat, Gaslight Plaza is the home of EBT. Gaslight Plaza has a rich history in the Medicine Hat community, is a designated historic building and a well-known landmark within the city. Once occupying a small portion of the building, EBT is now the largest tenant with offices on each of the three floors.

In 2021, EBT introduced five new principals: John Tempest, Amanda Finke, Brett Pudwell, Dalyce Cooper and Hayden Beck. This brings our total Principal count to 13, a number made necessary following a recent merger with Pinnacle Financial Services out of Swift Current. EBT, which has clients well beyond southeast Alberta, already had an established southern Saskatchewan clientele that will now enjoy a new level of convenience and care.
